Best Moments of Pregnancy

Hey Mama's, recently I posed a question on my Instagram and tiktok where I asked the question what were your favorite moments about being pregnant? I think we can all relate to at aleast one of these moments. Couple answered were send by most and surprisingly dads also participated in answering the question on behalf of their significant others. The best moments of pregnancy definitely includes baby movements, hearing the baby's heartbeat, doing an ultrasound, showing off the bump, getting treated like a queen after all you are a queen, Right! Pregnancy might be hard but its a beautiful thing to experience.

Most women feel the first fetal movement, known as quickening during pregnancy, around weeks 18 to 22 although you might feel those initial signs of activity any time between weeks 14 to 26 (Heidi, 2020). Though I felt my first movement about 12 to13 weeks. I was told that I wasn't feeling anything and that the fetal was too small to make strong movements to feel. However, everyone's body is different with means every pregnancy experience is too.

One thing for sure, why I enjoyed visiting the OB is to listen to the baby's heartbeat. It brought great joy to my husband and I knowing that our baby is doing ok. You can start hearing the sound of your baby's heart beat between weeks 6-10. Even though the heart starts to beat spontaneously at week 5.

Ultrasound visits can be very exciting but what can be more exciting than seeing an unborn child inside your womb on a screen.

These moment were the most exciting part of pregnancy for me. I loved looking at my baby moving and I remember her smiling during the session it was just so cute. It just made me wanted to see her even more. Just to see the journey and growth of your baby on every visit makes you elated. What makes it even more happier is to find out the gender of the baby.

Most people I heard liked getting compliments about their bump. Some people like getting a bump rub while other do not. Me for one, hated people touching at my tummy, Its just weird. Once I was getting home from work and I thought to stop at a near by kfc and a man decided to compliment me on my bump. He said "your belly look nice and round deh though" I found it do creepy. Best ways of showing off my bumps are in my photo gallery.

Like I said Mamas you are a queen and you should be treated like one. This was a great part of pregnancy getting food you want at anytime, someone offering you a seat or simply doing something for you. I enjoyed putting my feet up.

Whether you can relate to some of these moments such as baby movements, hearing the baby's heartbeat, doing an ultrasound, showing off the bump and getting treated like a queen or not Pregnancy is just a beautiful thing.

Until my next post......
